Spell type is the term used to describe the "state of being" of the spell. There are four types, listed below.

Cast[]

This is the type of spell that the user would read out of a tome or grimoire, off of a piece of paper, or have memorized.

Imbedded[]

The magical effects of the spell have been infused into a physical object of some sort. This includes weapons, liquids, or other inanimate "things". A spell can not be imbedded into a living thing. Imbedding can take place on objects or materials that were living at one point, but are no longer. There are three types of imbedding:

Single-use (ImS)[]

The imbedded spell is triggered by a word/phrase or action, and is automatically cast. Once the spell's duration is complete, the spell ceases to exist in that object. It is a "one-time use" spell. Potions are also this type of spell; each "dose" functioning independently, and the spell ceasing when the entire potion is used up.

Limited (multiple use) (ImL)[]

Like the single-use, the imbedded spell is triggered by a word/phrase or action, and is automatically cast. There are a pre-determined number of the same spell imbedded in the object, one being cast each time the spell is triggered. There is only a finite number of the spell imbedded, however. Once all the spells have been cast, the spell ceases to exist in that object.

Permanent (multiple use) (ImP)[]

Like the single-use, the imbedded spell is triggered by a word/phrase or action, and is automatically cast. There is no limit to the number of times the same spell imbedded in the object can be cast, one being cast each time the spell is triggered. There is an infinite number of the spell imbedded. The spell does not ever cease to exist in that object.
