Months

The months are named after the pantheon of Elaran dieties. The months, in order from the new year, are:

1. Desar
2. Rashan
3. Marith
4. Tavel
5. Yeom
6. Ocar
7. Shaal
8. Sevel
9. Domar
10. Zenel

Seasons

The Koridian year begins at the start of Spring.

Spring

The vernal equinox marks the first day of spring, and the first day of the new year. Spring runs from the 1st of Desar to the 18th of Marith.

Summer

The summer solstice marks the first day of summer. Summer runs from the 19th of Marith to the 36th of Yeom.

Autumn

The autumnal equinox marks the first day of autumn. Autumn runs from the 1st of Ocar to the 18th of Sevel.

Winter

The winter solstice marks the first day of winter. Winter runs from the 19th of Sevel to the 36th of Zenel.

Phases

Time is officially measured in relation to solar eclipes between the sun and Miranor. This elapsed time is called a phase. The duration of a phase (or, the amount of time between eclipses) is 81 years. Official dates are written with the number of the phase (since the origin of the Koridian Calendar) first, followed by the year (within that particular phase), then the month, then the day. Therefore 2/10/5/13 would be the 2nd phase, 10th year, 5th month and 13th day, or the 13th of Yeom in the 10th year of the 2nd phase.

Unofficially, the years are used and recorded as they have elapsed. So, the same date in the previous example would normally be the 13th of Yeom, 91 KY.
